Good morning Jennifer, I found a zillion or so entries in the "Woodbury Baptist Church Records, 1888 - 1906" book about Mr. T. B. MEARS. I have grouped the entries into categories to help get a better picture of his activities in the church. Below you will find a summary of several of those entries. This will be part 1 of several groups of information about Mr. T. B. MEARS. ~~~~~~~~~~ T. B. MEARS joined the church "By Experience" on Friday night, August 9, 1889. He was baptized in the Stones River, near the bridge, on August 18, 1889, by Bro. S. G. SHEPARD T. B. MEARS was elected as an alternate to the Association meeting on Aug. 16, 1890. T. B. MEARS acted as a "moderator protem" at a church conference. On October 11, 1890, Mr. MEARS was appointed to a committee to examine and repair the stove flues in the church. On December 13, 1890, T. B. MEARS was elected as church treasurer, and was also appointed to a committee to buy shades for the 2 southern windows in the church and have a fence around the church yard repaired. On Saturday, July 11, 1891, T. B. MEARS, as the church treasurer, was directed to buy coal for the church. T. B. MEARS was directed, as church treasurer, to pay Bro. J. N. HALL the amount of $40.00 for his services. This was on August 13, 1891. T. B. MEARS was elected as delegate to the Mid-Tennessee Sunday School Convention for June 29 - July 1, 1892. Mr. MEARS was appointed to a committee for the entertainment and assignment to homes of visitors to the Association meeting on Sept. 1 - Sept. 4, 1892. Mr. T. B. MEARS was elected as a Deacon for the Woodbury Baptist Church on March 31, 1894. He was also appointed to a committee to select a program for the upcoming Church Conference. Mr. T. B. MEARS was ordained as a Deacon on January 30, 1894. On November 3, 1894, T. B. MEARS was shown as "Clerk Protem" for the church. On December 1, 1894, Mr. T. B. MEARS was elected to serve as the Church Treasurer for the upcoming year. T. B. MEARS was appointed to serve on a committee to provide for repairs to the fences, etc., around the church on March 23, 1895. Mr. T. B. MEARS was appointed to a Church Repair Committee on December 22, 1895. T. B. MEARS was elected to serve as Church Treasurer again for the year of 1896. ~~~~~~~~~~ This was only part of the information about Mr. T. B. MEARS that is found in this book.
