    1. [ROOTWALKER] LAWRENCE, James, & LAW, Mary, Marriage, Macon Co., TN.
    2. Hello Shirley, We could not find any Macon County records prior to 1901, except some town records for a couple of the communities in Macon County, Tennessee. Macon County was formed in 1842 from lands taken from Smith and Sumner Counties. Is it possible that James and Mary were wed in one of these counties? We did find some information about some members of the LAWRENCE family, but I'm not sure if they are of your clan or not. ~~~~~~~~~~ In Trousdale County, Tennessee at the Friendship Cemetery the following graves are found: LAWRENCE, Susan Matilda b. Sep. 7, 1839, d. Sep. 15, 1889. LAWRENCE, Lucinda, b. Oct. 8, 1812, d. Dec. 26, 1891, Wife of James LAWRENCE. LAWRENCE, Mary F., b. Mar. 3, 1842, d. Jan. 23, 1929. LAWRENCE, Louisa Jent, b. Nov. 16, 1835, d. Nov. 8, 1901. Wife of Samuel P. LAWRENCE. LAWRENCE, Samuel P., b. Aug. 14, 1835, d. Feb. 18, 1901. LAWRENCE, Andrew J., b. Dec. 9, 1860, d. Nov. 12, 1895. ~~~~~~~~~~ We hope some of these names are familiar and this information can help fill in some holes in your research. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family.
