Hi folks. This line has been a real challenge for me. With this new clue, I'm hoping someone will help me put a few chinks in my stone wall. SARAH E. SHERROD, often spelled SHERRARD, married C.L. QUARLES or QUALLS, on May 5, 1852 in Montgomery County, TN. I believe this Sarah is the daughter of SAMUEL SHERROD & PIETY HORN of Todd County, KY. What I need to find are the children of SARAH & C.L, hopefully on the 1860 Montgomery County census, provided they were still there. C.L. might also be known as JOHN. Are we confused yet?? It's a complicated story, but I believe C.L./John & Sarah are my great-great-great grandparents. I have ancestry.com, but my dsl in down so trying to read census records on dial up is very frustrating and slow. Sure hope these folks ring a bell with someone.
