    2. Hello Nona! In searching the book, "Red River Settlers," I find no McGaugh or McGough family members listed. There is no Charles Parker listed. Joseph Pitts is there, shown in Robertson County. A will for Joseph was recorded of January 25, 1818 in Robertson County, Tenn. In the will, his wife is said to be named Patsy, and two children were listed named Milly and Joseph. The will was proved in open court in 1819. There is also a land record referred to where the land of Joseph Pitt was divided into 5 lots. One going to each of the following: James Lynn, Bartley Pitts, Major Gregory, Joseph Pitts, and Robert Gordon. This transaction was dated February 12, 1820. The only reference to James Lynn was in the land transaction shown in the previous paragraph. There are no Whitnell family members shown in the book. The book did refer to the Gideon Methodist Church cemetery, and that some of the Pitts family are buried there. We hope this information is useful to you. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. 3. Hello to Nona Contact me if you are related to the below mentioned PITTS & LYNN families. These are my husband's line. Robert Boaz GORDON married the Milly PITTS mentioned in her father's will. We have been researching this line for several years and have much information on all the families - GORDON, PITTS, LYNN. A GORDON cousin has a webpage on the family. There is a pedigree chart on Joseph PITTS with documentation of the many probate records. You might be interested in seeing it http://www.angelfire.com/tn/gordongenealogy/ Go down to the Pedigree Chart listing & click on alpha listing of surname. Look forward to hearing from you.
