    1. [ROOTWALKER] JAMISON surname in "Red River Settlers."
    2. Good afternoon Don, In the book "Red River Settlers," there are three JAMISON people listed. Here is that information. 1. The daughter of William Downs, who passed away in Montgomery County, TN in 1802, was from Virginia, and was the son of Henry Downs. William married a lady named Rebecca. They had a daughter named Jane who married William Caldwell JAMISON. 2. James Ely from Logan County, Ky., born Feb. 12, 1803, died Jan. 19, 1847, married Charlotte JAMISON from the Red River country. She was born March 28, 1809, and died August 17, 1875. They had a son named William J. Ely who was born in Clarksville on Oct. 5, 1835. 3. Marshall JAMISON is shown as an early member of the Methodist Church at Springfield, Tenn. The church was founded in the late 1830's.
