Hi Betty, This particular Red River and the area covered in the book, "Red River Settlers," is in an area of Tennessee covering Sumner, Robertson, and northern Montgomery Counties. There are some references to the adjoining counties in Tennessee, as well as some references to neighboring counties in Tennessee. I hope this answers your question.
