Hello Deborah! Yes, there was a reference to the Chism family in the book,"Red River Settlers." Here is what we found. While looking at our copy of "Red River Settlers" by Edythe Rucker Whitley c. 1980, tonight, I noticed several references to the CHISM family in Montgomery and Davidson Counties of Tennessee. These given names were John, Sally, and Taylor. There is a reference to John Chisham in Montgomery County, Tenn. There is also a reference to the Chisholm family as being a prominent family in North Carolina. If you want more information, let me know. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family.
