Hello WALDEN researchers, In researching the name, Reathea (or Rethey) Mary WALDEN, child of Fielder DeWitt WALDEN and Susan Grubbs WALDEN, we did not find a listing of this grave in any of the Robertson County, Tennessee, cemetery books. There are four of these books, published in 1973, 1975, a second one in 1975, and 1987. We did, however, find a reference to Reathey WALDEN in another book. This book is titled "Robertson County, Tennessee Obituaries and Death Records 1802-1930." It looks as if this information was taken off a death certificate. WALDEN, Reathey, female white, 1 year old, died, December 12, 1909. Born in Robertson County, Tennessee. Cause of Death was Croup. Doctor T. L. Johnson attending, Died in the 12th district of Robertson County, Tennessee. We hope this is the information you were needing. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. Sincerely, Stan Magnesen ROOTWALKER site/list coordinator

Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family, Sincerely, Stan Magnesen ROOTWALKER site/list coordinator

Sislers have a web page of their material available for purchase. The 1880 middle Tn book is $106. I'm hoping the Los Angeles FHC buys a copy. Although, I might weaken, just to have that resource in hand. It would come in handy for lookups for the Rootwalker clan. Jeanne
What a tragedy!!!!!!! Some people don't care about another's belongings. Just want to discard everything and get it over with. Something similiar happened in my family. Although it was the county who discarded all her belongs and wouldn't let the family have anything. I really know how you feel. Ann
Hi, I'm hoping someone might know Earline Averitt of Houston Co.ca 1920. She is the daughter of George Hermis Averitt. He was my great uncle. Trying to locate her or her children, if she had any. Don't know her married name. According to my aunts, she had 2 brothers, George and Carlton. George Hermis Averitt moved to AL at some pt. I believed he died in 1981. Does anyone know this family? Anybody go to school with them? Are there public marriage records available from the '30-40's? TIA,Jeanne
Stan and Vanessa, When you go to the archives could you find out about the 1880 all name index book from 2000? Maybe, the Nashville Room could tell me the name if I called, as a last resort. Is that in the public library system? I wanted to share this e-mail I received this morning. I'm sure all of us will experience this frustration. How are we able to get the word out to those who think these treasures are trash? I work on my husbands's line on the Rootwalker, Macon Co. Tn., Monroe Co Ky., Allen Co. Ky lists. But the Lahues and Sebastians of Grayson Co. Kentucky are MY people. This REALLY hurts. Melody How are you this morning ? I am very sad. I had a letter from my sister yesterday and she told me that a Lahue Woman had died and that a man we know who was related to her was the administrator of the estate. She asked him if by any chance there were any old Family records or pictures and he said" oh yes boxes full, there is no telling how much stuff I have thrown away" He said one thing was a family tree, hand writen, and there were a lot of Sebastans in it , but he threw it away. She told him that we were also related and had been working on the family history. The woman who died was ,(as far as I know) the only GrandChild of Frank Lahue. The Sebastans were Nancy's Mothers people. She probably had all the history from the whole family since she was the last of the direct line. It really makes me sad to think that all this stuff that has been accumalated for several life times would just be thrown away.
