Hello again STAN! I don't know if you enjoyed working on the "Joe Brown Trail" or not but if it was not in the winter time I think I would have. Joe
Thanks STAN! I appreciate the date times. Joe

Hello everyone, After a couple of days of down-time because of the Rootsweb upgrades, the ROOTWALKER web site is back up and ready to use. Thanks, Stan
Hi Janet. In searching the book, "Red River Settlers," I find the following: 1. As to Margaret Sophia HUGHS, She is not listed in this book. There are, however, 7 HUGHS people listed. If you have any other persons in that family you are interested in, just let me know. 2. As to John W. CASH, Welllll, there aren't any CASH persons shown in the book. 3. There are only two references to the family WILLS. In the first reference it is stated that "James A. Jernigan settled on the place known by the old timers as the WILLS farm. This is in Robertson County, Tenn. In the second reference, it is referring to a land grant on the Sulphur Fork of the Red River, where Benjamin Simmons was granted 429 acres of land and assigned the claim to George WILLS in Warrant No. 472. This was Grant Number 602. 4. There are no TULLEY family members shown in the book, "Red River Settlers." 5. There are no HARNED family members shown in the book, either. We hope you find this little bit of information useful. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. Hi Joe. Would you believe that I was on a crew with the US Forest Service that built a trail called "Joe Brown Trail" ? I just thought I would share that with you. It is on the Gallatin National Forest just north of Gardiner in Park County, Montana. Now, as to the book, "Red River Settlers." I would suggest you just go to a bookstore and see if they can order it for you. The ISBN # is 0-8063-0987-4. If you have any trouble finding it, let me know and I will see if we can help you more. I would appreciate your help. Thank you for all your good work. Everyone is so great. Thanks Geri
What about Margaret Sophia HUGHS. She married John W. CASH maybe there are some CASHes? What about WILLS, as in John W. and Frances; or TULLEYs, as Harrieet and Wesley? Any HARNEDs? I just keep digging. Thanks. Janet Keeling Daily
HELLO CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I CAN GET THE "RED RIVER SETTLERS" BOOK? JOE BROWN
Good morning Frances, I don't find William FOSTER in the book "Red River Settlers." There are, however, four FOSTER family members shown. They are as follows: Anthony, John, Mary and Zellica. If any of these interest you, let me know and I will send the information to you right away. Do you recall what part of Montgomery County William was from? Good morning everyone, As most of you probably already know, Rootsweb had a little bit of down time this Friday and Saturday. This was a scheduled event to allow them time to do some upgrades to their massive system. I did not think this down time would last quite as long as it did, but the ROOTWALKER mail list seems to be working now. I am sure the web site will be up and working in a few moments to an hour or so. Some of you sent emails over the ROOTWALKER mail list since Friday morning at 8am Pacific time and they were not posted to everyone else as a result of this maintenance work by Rootsweb. I am noticing some of these emails being posted as I type this letter. These mails were delayed by the upgrades at Rootsweb. As an example, an email I sent to the ROOTWALKER family on Friday at 12:52pm just posted a few seconds ago. Thanks for your understanding in this matter, and thanks to all of you for being the ROOTWALKER family. Sincerely, Stan Magnesen ROOTWALKER site/list coordinator ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hello again Debbi, Starting this Friday past, Rootsweb began a project to upgrade some of their servers. This shut down Rootsweb from Friday morning at 8am Pacific time until just about now. The mail lists were also temporarily affected by this upgrade, but as you see, this one is working now. I just tried to access the ROOTWALKER web site and got the same nice message with the photo of the little boy holding a rope on it. This is the same message that Rootsweb put on all of the Rootsweb sponsored web sites that were temporarily affected by their maintenance work. Remember, this situation is only temporary, and everything should be back to normal or better very soon. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family.
