Hi Stan, My husband's maternal side was from the Bugtussle area. I thought it was in Monroe Co., Kentucky. I am interested in an infant who is said to have been born May 19, 1910 and died October 1910. His name was Elvin Padgett, son of Ruthie or Rutha Jane Blankenship and Marion Wesley or Wesley Marion Padgett. Mr. Padgett was from Overton County, Muddy Pond or Hanging Limb, but was living near Bugtussle or Gamaliel. This infant was not listed in the 1910 Monroe County census. His mother was counted twice; once in the household of her mother, Isabelle Blankenship (widow of Smith) and also with her husband. I would like to confirm the dates of birth and death, plus find where the little one is buried. A cause would really be appreciated. I am also interested in a marriage record of the two. They have given their marriage date as June 1908, but something is just not ringing true. A 1910 marriage would explain Belle's contempt for her son-in-law. 1910 Census Belle Blankenship Enumeration District: 0163 Color: W Age: 43 Birth Place: Kentucky Visit: 0210 County: Monroe Relation: Husband Relatives: Son Bertie C 23, Kentucky Daughter Ruthie J 18, Kentucky Son Walter 16, Kentucky Daughter Rosy 11, Kentucky The age is off for Mr. Padgett. He was born in 1882. Marian Padgett Enumeration District: 0152 Color: W Age: 22 Birth Place: Tennessee Visit: 0128 County: Monroe Relation: Husband Relatives: Wife Rutha J 19, Kentucky Thank you, Melody >From: Yelowstone@aol.com >Reply-To: TN-ROOTWALKER-L@rootsweb.com >To: TN-ROOTWALKER-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [ROOTWALKER] MACON County, Tennessee communities. >Date: Sat, 31 Mar 2001 04:36:56 EST > >Hello everyone, > >Below is a list of most of the communities found in MACON County, >Tennessee. > >If you have any questions and cannot find the answers anywhere between >Bugtussle and Frog Pond, please let us know and we will put every effort >into >helping you find the correct answers. > >Thanks for being the ROOTWALKER family. > >Sincerely, > > > >Stan Magnesen >ROOTWALKER site/list coordinator > >~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > >Barefoot >Beech Bottom >Beech Hill >Brattontown >Browns >Bugtussle >Cedar Bluff >Cross Lanes >Cross Roads >Days Crossroads >Drapers Crossroads >Enon >Eulia >Fairview >Frog Pond >Galen >Gap of the Ridge >Gibbs Crossroads >Goose Horn >Green Grove >Green Valley >Greenwood >Gum Springs >Hayesville >Haysville >Hillsdale >Horsleys >Kirby >Lafayette >Long Creek >Maple Grove >Meadorville >Mill Town >New Harmony >New Zion >Oakdale >Olio >Pleasant Hill >Pleasant Valley >Prosperity >Pumpkintown >Red Boiling Springs >Rocky Mound >Russell Hill >Siloam >Smith Chapel >Spivey >Sunrise >Sycamore Valley >Underwood >Walnut Shade >Webbtown >White Oak >Willette >Williams >Winklers Crossroads >Wixtown > > >==== TN-ROOTWALKER Mailing List ==== >******Genealogy may not be digging up bones, but shur' 'nuf, every skeleton >in your family's closet will fall out!****** > >============================== >Search over 1 Billion names at Ancestry.com! >http://www.ancestry.com/rd/rwlist1.asp > _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
