    2. Sarah, are you using 5.0 or 6.0. I have heard many complaints about 6.0 including just signing on...I sub to many lists and I don't seem to be having any problems with 5.0 other than sometimes my buddy lists won't load and the hyperlinks...even though they are AOL hyperlinks aol won't open them, so I have to copy and paste into explorer....just a thought Kymm

    1. [ROOTWALKER] AOL Hyperlinks
    2. Hello again Sara, Apparently the new version of AOL is having small conflicts with older versions as well as Rootsweb, judging by what you are saying. AOL will probably correct these problems, even if immediately before upgrading again. In the meantime, I'll continue sending the URL to help everyone suffering this small inconvenience. Thanks for letting us know what you have found about this problem, and Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. 1. [ROOTWALKER] Traffic and signs TSLA
    2. Hello Sara, I asked the same question about the Authorized Vehicle signs. The answer was simple...TSLA visitors are authorized to be there. The signs are to cut down on people trying to use the street in front of TSLA as a through street. If you notice, the guard house has been moved to the corner the TSLA is on from across the street. That puts all the parking on the side and behind the library under the guards watchful eye, and in effect, closed the street. Also, the street is now one-way. We used to go in behind the Supreme Court building and go around the block to come up in front of the TSLA building, where all the parking would be on our right and we wouldn't have to make a U-turn at the guard house. Now, all the parking on both sides of the street is pointing in the same direction. If you have to circle the building, one thing to remember is that you will find yourself dumped out on Charlotte where it is sometimes difficult to turn left. If you turn to your right just before you hit Charlotte and go down the hill about 50 or 75 yards, you can have a traffic light to turn onto Charlotte. I think this is much safer during heavy traffic hours. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. 1. [ROOTWALKER] Stan and Vanessa's address
    2. Yep! I did it....I sent our address out to the entire world. Now, all of you good people know our address, which is OK. I had intended to not post it for the entire universe, though. Now, I suppose I will have vacuum cleaner salesmen visiting us at our post office box :) Once, I had a boss who, just after I blasted his new deer skin gloves into molecules while clearing a trail in the Absaroka - Beartooth area in Montana, that looked at me and said "Well, Stan, I always figured the guy who never made a mistake is the guy who never does anything." It looks as if I must have been doing something, because I sure did make a mistake. Anyway, now all of you have our address if you want to send postage for those maps, ( 55 cents per map,) or any other communication. Thanks for being patient with my rambling and thanks for being the ROOTWALKER family. 1. [ROOTWALKER] Map for Dot
    2. Hello Dot, I will hold a map for you, and will send our mailing address to you in a personal email. There is no need to send an envelope. The Post Office folks here in Portland are really great to deal with. They are always advising me on ways to send things and how to save money when mailing items. These maps are simply taped closed on the end so they don't come unfolded in the mail, then a label is adhered to the back showing who they are from and who they are to. The size of the map folded is the size of an envelope and it will go through the postal system without a problem. Last year we sent out some Dickson County maps in envelopes. This cost the price of an envelope plus the postage of over $1.00. I think the postage was around $1.25 each. We weighed one of those same maps at the post office so the mail man could prove his point about the price and the cost to mail that Dickson County map would have been only 45 cents. That is a big savings. Thanks for being part of the ROOTWALKER family. 2. Hi Patsy, I don't know why some people receive the blue hyperlinks and some don't. I was aware that this is the case, though. (I did think, however, that all AOL people got the blue hyperlinks.) This is why I usually include the URL when I post a site, along with a hyperlink. That way, everyone can get the same information.
