Hi All, This came through the SCKY list, and knowing Theresa, I asked if I could forward it on. Enjoy! Kymm in Huntsville Hi, Kymm, by all means, forward it to the Rootwalker list. Hi Stan, Would you happen to have a marriage record for a George HUTCHISON? He was born in 1803 somewhere in TN. He was listed on the 1850 Macon Co. Census. His wife's given name was Martha "Patsey" _______? He is my brick wall. Thanks for any help. Donna
Stan, THANK YOU so very much. Hi Stan, These are all childen of John PEMBERTON and wife Martha, the only thing I have is the quit claim deed you found for me earlier. I have a marriage for George N. (my ancestor), Wilson Co., and am looking for anything on the others. I still have not found cemetery or death dates for John and Martha. John died sometime before the 1871 deed date and Martha sometime after 1871. Martha may have been his second wife ?? Anything you might find will be of help, I'm sure. Am trying to prove Martha was a deJarnette before her marriage. George N. was b. 1803 in VA (what county?) so his parents were probably md in VA. Looking for some kind of ties to a county in VA for this family. Using the 1871 date for the deed, John would have been very advanced in age. Using George's birth in 1803, John had to be b. in 1783 or earlier in VA. Seems to be some Caroline Co., VA Pembertons, but no proof. I sincerely appreciate all you do to help myself and others in our TN research. Stan, I just saw the note on the cemetery transcription that there are some fieldstones and unmarked graves. So, that may explain my difficulty in matching my info to the listing. Oooops, that just goes to show me that I shouldn't do this stuff until I've had my 3rd cup of coffee in the morning. :) Be well, Suzanne
Stan, Thanks !! I'd love a copy of the Bible info. That would be great !!! :) I had found the Baggett Cemetery listing before but I can't seem to make the names and dates that I have fit into the info that I have. For example, my William B. Baggett was born 6 Nov 1852 and died 2 July 1933. I can't find any tombstones with those dates under any name. My info says that his wife, Sarah E. THOMPSON (1856-1920) is buried at Greenbrier. Unfortunately, as far as I know, Greenbrier hasn't been transcribed or at least, isn't online. Another question that I have is that my info says that Jesse Jones Baggett (1799-1834) (son of Grandberry and Elizabeth) is buried in Bagget Cemetery in Robertson County. But, I don't find any listing of him in the cemetery. And also, his death date seems to be much earlier than any of the dates of others buried there. Perhaps there's an older portion of the cemetery that has been lost, or the stones and markers were destroyed ? So many questions, so little time and money. <grin> But I was really glad to hear that the Baggett homeplace was near the cemetery. With the directions to the cemetery, I'll be able to approximate where the homeplace was. Thanks for that !! Be well, Suzanne
Hello everyone. Every once in a while we like to remind everyone, especially those new members of the ROOTWALKER family to remember the following things when posting emails on the ROOTWALKER list. There are guidelines everyone is asked to follow when they are adopted by the ROOTWALKER family and they are sent a copy at that time. I just want to take the time to remind you of a few. 1. Please don't post any information about living people without the permission of that person. 2. Please don't advertise anything on the mail list. Rootsweb has strict rules about this and we must follow them. If you have anything of this of this nature that may be of interest to members of the ROOTWALKER family in their research, PLEASE run the information by me and I will post if for you if it is appropriate. 3. Please don't forward emails from other lists without the permission of the original sender. We love the information, but we want to protect the copyright of the original author and just be courteous to them at the same time. 4. Please contact us before offering to do lookups. We will contact the authors of any copyrighted information and request their permission to do these lookups. Your cooperation will help the ROOTWALKER list run smoothly. Thanks for being the ROOTWALKER family. You are a wonderful group of people and we are proud to be associated with you. Sincerely, Stan Magnesen ROOTWALKER site/list coordinator
