Could someone identify who the J.M. Brents who is buried at the old Talley Cemetery? I saw a picture of his tombstone on the CHESTNUT RIDGE web page. I am searching for a James Brent who married my great great grandmother, Martia Stacy Douthit Ellis Brent. She married James Brent in around 1854 and they lived in the Petersburg area. They were living there in the 1860 Lincoln County census, and two of her sons from her first marriage to James Ellis were living with them. I have found her burial site and it is in the Buchanan Cemetery. James Brent's grave is not there. I know nothing about him and can find no information on him. She was born in 1807 and died in 1885. Any information on either of these two would be greatly appreciated. Joyce Park Riggs
