Sherry: The marriage book by Marsh is from 1838-1880. "No official marriage records were kept by the clerk before 1836, when the Legislature directed the clerks to start recording them..Eds". From what I understand Sherry, is that Lincoln CO., TN. did not start recording until 1838. In the back of Marsh's book are some earlier dates taken from miscellaneous family records. However, your Leftwich, Briant/Bryant are not listed.. Julia
