CRC: Question: I was looking at a copy of the 1830 census that had been transcribed. I was looking at my gg grandparents James PROSSER / Frances RICHARDSON. It read as follows: Males under 5 [2], Males 5-10 [2], Males 10-15 [1], Males 30-40 [1] Females under 5[0], Females 5-10 [1], Females 20-30 [1]. My g grandfather Jonathan Edward Prosser was born 06 Dec. 1820. I am assuming the census would have been taken earlier in the year of 1830, before the 06 Dec. 1830 making him 9 years of age and in the 5-10 years old bracket. Does the original census show the time the actual census was taken? Bobby Prosser prossergenealogy@comcast.net
