I was at a recent meeting of the Lincoln County Heritage Book Committee and was in conversation with Mr. Russell O'Neal. Mr. O'Neal made a statement that you have probably heard me also make before. His statement was that about all of our "Ridge" ancestors came into the area from Chatham County, North Carolina. I have noticed this from researching a lot of my ancestors.
