I have not run across them but on the 1790 Abbeville, SC census is a Ambrose 2 free white males of 16 years and upwards, including heads of families; 3 free white males under 16 years; 2 free white females including heads of families. Next names is Joel Foster 1-0-1 In the Pendleton district where my Armstrong's are from there are James Foster 3-0- 3; Thomas Foster 1-0-1, one slave. Then in the Newberry, SC is Joel Foster 1-1-1 and 3 slaves. Might settled in another CO. in TN. Julia
