    3. Bobby, I will send you information on Joseph McAdams in a few days. He is one of my ancestors who fought in the American Revolutionary War. Why hasn't the Marshall County DAR placed markers at all the graves of the Revolutionary War Veterans? I do not believe they know where many Veterans are buried because they have not attempted to locate their graves. Is the Marshall County DAR a Patriotic Club or just a Social Club who could care less where their ancestors are buried? I will start by listing the few that I know. 1. Joseph HASTINGS - Settled in Bedford County at Hastings Campground. He is buried at the Hastings Campground Cemetery with a soldier of the American Revolution marker. I am a descendant of him. 2. Joseph GREER - Buried in Greer Cemetery west of Hannah Gap in Lincoln County. He carried the Message of victory from King's Mountain to the Continental Congress at Philadelphia. There are ties to his family to many of the area. 3. John MEDEARIS - Buried in Medearis Cemetery in Marshall County. He settled the area in Southeastern Marshall County, east of Belfast known as Liberty Valley. There is a Revolutionary Soldier marker at his grave. 4. Peter LUNA - Buried in Luna Cemetery. There is a DAR marker at the grave. He is connected to many of us through his family. 5. William JORDAN - Buried in Williamson County. My wife is a descendant of him. If you know of names to add to the list please do so.
