Cousins: The speakers have been set for the June meeting. The speakers are Don Mills with Walsworth Publishing Company and he will share with us about the Family History Books of Lincoln, Moore and Giles Counties. Don will speak on Friday evening June 10. Our June 11 morning speaker will be Paulette Carpenter the list manager for Marshall and Mary Counties. Paulette has also done a lot of work for the TNGENWEB project. Paulette is well versed in what is available from state archives and she will give us some pointers on what might be available from there. Our Saturday evening speaker will be Don Jeter. Don is president of the Marshall County Historical Society and has done a lot of research on land grants of the area including grants from the Petersburg area up to the Bedford County line and some of the other sections of Southeastern Marshall County. Don has a keen knowledge of the area. With these speakers and the time frames that they are to speak there should be time for intermingling and time to exchange family information. I look forward to seeing you and I hope each of you will work with me in an effort to promote this endeavor.
