    3. Dear Cousins, Below is a GenForum post. I am researching this couple for James Wright SR & Martha Cocke/Cox Wright had a son Barzillai b 20 March 1811 in White CO., TN. Barzillai married Christian Swindell b 16 Jan 1832 in White CO., TN. Christian's father was Christopher Swindle b 8 March 1770 Hyde, CO., NC, died 1 May 1830 White CO., TN. I have good reason to believe that my great grandmother Rebecca Renfro Wright's, wife of James Wright (both buried in Harkins Cemetery),mother Edith___?, Gilbert, Renfrow, Swindle (buried in the Pylant Cemetery LCT) was married for a short time to the above Christopher Swindle. While I have a lot of info on these families, I cannot connect my great grandfather James Wright with the Cox(Cocke)-Wright line. So I have to find out more about Martha "Patsy Cocke/Cox. Sherry where should I start??? Cousin Julia GENFORUM POST Does anyone know of a Martha "Patsy Cocke/Cox b. ca. 1785-90 in Va, and married a James Wright Sr. He died of lung disease in 1815 while serving in the militia in the War of 1812. They were married Native style in 1804 and by a JP in Richmond in 1808. She is supposedly full-blood Cherokee. She and James had 3 children; Bettie(Elizabeth); Barzillia; and James jr. There was a 4th child mentioned, Seth, who was born in 1827, but according to records, Martha never remarried after James died at a Norfolk, Va. army hospital. I would appreciate it if anyone has any information, if they would contact me by email at Cherokee_2ponies@yahoo.com. Thank you. kathy
