Sherrie Tomerlin at the Archives has been most helpful to me. It really is the best deal in town as they only charge 25 cents a copy plus expense to mail. I have purchased copies of my grandparents (James Franklin Wright & Willie Etta Armstrong) marriage certificate and bond, as well as many other surnames. Also I received the guardian papers for my grandmother Willie Etta Armstrong and her siblings David, Isabella, and James. Their uncle Ephrain Jefferson King was appointed their guardian. In 1846 McGahey filed a bill to sell certain slaves belonging to the estate. The suit was filed in 1870. The case was supposedly heard on 5/22/1871. This would have been some 25 years after the original bill to sell originated. The case was heard in Marshall County. I wonder if these court records are archived anywhere?
