    3. John Freddie Mitchell, 70, of Tunstill Loop Road, Fayetteville, died Thursday night (March 25, 2004) in Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Lincoln County, son of the late Lummie Leo "Jack" Mitchell and Myrtle Velma Gatlin Mitchell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, former employee of CFW Construction and a mechanic for Ford Motor Company. Survivors include his wife, Avis Jeanette Taylor Mitchell of Fayetteville; a daughter, Teresa Ann Mitchell Honey and husband, Terry, of Fayetteville; four sons, Michael Dale Mitchell and wife, Kim, of Fayetteville, Joe Mark Mitchell of Fayetteville, Marty Lynn Mitchell and girlfriend, Rebecca, of Fayetteville and John Myron Mitchell and wife, Melena, of Fayetteville; four sisters, Elizabeth Sawyers of Franklin, Connie Maguson of Ardmore, Nan Miller of Ardmore and Alice Scott of Huntsville; four brothers, Bud Mitchell of California, Kenneth Mitchell of Ardmore, Richard Mitchell of Salt Lake City, Utah and Bobby Mitchell of Ardmore; eight grandchildren, Heather Honey Pruett, Tiffany Honey, Alison Mitchell Campbell, Ashley Mitchell, Miles Mitchell, Cody Mitche! ll, Kelsey Mitchell and Bailey Anne Mitchell; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Pruett and Brylea Pruett. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Joyce Mitchell Millican. Funeral services were held Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Black officiating. Interment was in Gatlin Cemetery. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
