COUSINS: Bettye and I attended the meeting of the Tennessee Historical Society this past Thursday evening. The guest speaker at the meeting was Peter Krass. Mr. Krass is a well renowned author of many books including [1]Carnegie, [2] The Book of Business Wisdom, [3] The Book of Leadership Wisdom, [4] The Book of Investing Wisdom. The book that he has just had released is "Blood & Whiskey" / "The Life And Times Of Jack Daniel". I have just started reading it and there is a good history of Moore & Lincoln County in the book. There are many references of different communities and people of the area. It is well footnoted for source documentation. A good picture is painted of how our pioneer ancestors settled in the area and made their livelihood. The price of the book is $24.95 plus tax and is available at Davis - Kidd bookstores.
