    3. Julia: I am not as familiar with my FOSTER linage as I would like to be. I thought that maybe my line stayed in "The Ridge" area around Foster Hollow. My grandmother was Ola FOSTER that married Robert Alpine WHORLEY her parents John R. FOSTER and Tempie Ann MOORE passed away when Ola [Ma Whorley] was young. Ma was raised by a BURNS family that is linked to CRC cousin, Jean Cosby. There is a lot that I am in the dark about in Ma's family. I believe that the MOORE line may be connected to your John HARKINS MOORE in some way, but I do not know. Thank you for any information that you may be able to share. 3. Bobby, Thought you had an Armstrong line as well. 3. Julia: Yes, I do have ARMSTRONG ancestors. My ARMSTRONG connection is through Mary Jane ARMSTRONG that married Joel Lewis FOSTER. John FOSTER had sent to me that Mary Jane ARMSTRONG was the daughter of William ARMSTRONG and Margaret WOOD / WOODS out of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Am I correct that our FOSTER family came out of South Carolina to Lincoln County, TN.? I believe that my NORRIS and JOHNSTON families came out of Edgefield and Aiken Counties of South Carolina. There is a community named Johnston in Edgefield County and I have looked at some information about the Johnston Cemetery there. I have also seen post about FOSTER families in the area. Was there a migration pattern from South Carolina to "The Ridge"? 3. Hi Bobby, I wonder if ther was a migration pattern from that part of South Carolina & Georgia. My CRENSHAW family came from Warren County, Georgia, very close to Aiken & Edgefield, SC.
