    3. Does anyone have any information on a William Logan THOMPSON? His parents were James THOMPSON, "Big Jim" and Lucy Adorine STONE. The later two are buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham. I have been told that my great grand aunt, Nancy Ann BROOKS, "Nannie B" b 1872 d 1937, was actually William Logan THOMPSON's daughter. She married a James Thomas THOMPSON, Marshall STONE & Frank ROLAND. She died giving birth to Clyde Roland. This has blown our BROOKS right out of the water. From all accounts, we have always thought she was the daughter of John Franklin BROOKS b 1848 d 1900 and Margarete Talitha WOOTEN b 1851 d 1930. She appears on the 1880 United States Census, District 8, Warren, Tennessee. Until we can find proof otherwise, we will continue to believe she is the daughter of John Franklin BROOKS. Can anyone help? Thanks! Rita in Birmingham

    3. Rita: Since the Logan name appears in as a middle name you may want to contact Mary Ruth Simmons. She may also have a Thompson connection. Address is: simmons_a@bellsouth.net .
