Lincoln County Researchers: I was recently passed along some information from a SULLIVAN researcher that suggest that Cornelius W. SULLIVAN was a grandson of Thomas Oscar WICKER Sr. and Mary HESTER. The initial W in Cornelius' name probably stood for WICKER. Thomas Oscar WICKER Sr. and Mary HESTER were the parents of Temperance that was the wife of Joseph SULLIVAN. The researcher believed that they were originally from New Kent County, VA before settling in Chatham Co., NC and then William and Temperance moving on to Lincoln County. Has anyone else seen anything on this question? Thank you Sherry. I have gone over all I can find from the many of Patricia West bibles I have found in the "Pioneers" on the Gilbert's. No clue to my Edith Gilbert mother of Margaret Gilbert wife of Pinkney Pylant. But thought Patricia still might be able to help. Julia

We have two notes of sympathy to pass along to the cousins. Lonnie Prosser's aunt Ruth Prosser Toler passed away last month in Nashville, we extend our sympathy to Lonnie and that family. We extend our sympathy to Polly Prosser Dodson on the loss of her sister Hester Prosser of Shelbyville. Hester Prosser passed away last Saturday October 9th in Shelbyville, and the burial was at the Mount Herman Cemetery in "The Ridge" area. She was the daughter of Thomas Guy Prosser and Julia Womble Prosser and is survived by Polly Dodson, Sue Bragg, Grace Clanton, Margie Shearin of Shelbyville and Shirley Roberts of Franklin. Please keep these families in your prayers. Bobby Prosser prossergenealogy@comcast.net --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cousins: I received the newsletter today and I really enjoyed it. I appreciate the work that Julia did in preparing it and to all the cousins that contributed to it. The historical tidbits and the reminisces of Christmas yesteryear were great. I look forward to the next edition. Thanks again Julia and to all that contributed Bobby Prosser prossergenealogy@comcast.net --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
