    3. Hello List I have a transcribed copy of the Rutherford Co 1820 census. The transcriber had a difficult time reading a particular entry. I would appreciate any help from someone who has the original copy and can take a look at the writing. The transcribed page that I have shows a #14 at the top of the page. The first entry is Nathan STOCHART, followed by Peter WALKER, followed by Israel DICKSON and then James MCCLURE. The following surnames are DAVIS< LEMMONS< BRAUGHTON< BEDFORD< ASPEY< BOILS< CANNON< SMITH< CANNON< BRIAN< DAVIS< ALEXANDER< ROBINSON>ROBINSON and then finally James TH_________________________. I would really appreciate anyone taking a look at this surname to see what they think it says. James ??????? Thank you Deborah Parks

    3. Found the page, but the ink is so faint I can't be sure the first name is even James. There is a Jesse Rhodes listed next. Maybe it's "Rh"odes instead of "Th" ??? ----- Original Message ----- On Sunday, September 03, 2006 1:43 PM, <bdvw@earthlink.net> writes: > Hello List > I have a transcribed copy of the Rutherford Co 1820 census. 3. Linda - thank you so much for the response. Could you please take another look at it and see if the name could be THURMON OR THURMAN OR THURMOND?
