His father born in Va and morther in SC. Wife named Elizabeth. Could you look him up in the 1860 and 1870 Benton Co., Tn census? His oldest child William was born 1861. It is possibile George was married by 1860. If not, he may be in the hh of an older Thornton in Benton? Thanks for you help. Gene
