Could someone please check for the following children: Thomas HENSLEY b: c 1853 Mary HENSLEY b: c 1854 Amy HENSLEY b: c 1856 Nelson HENSLEY b: c 1859 They are all listed with their parents, John and Catherine HENSLEY, in 1860 in Roane county, TN. John was killed during the Civil War, and Catherine married a Henry MILES in 1866. Catherine and Henry are listed in 1870 in Roane county, along with her youngest (by her first husband), Rhoda "Rody", and their child, George Miles. But her other children are NOT with them. At their ages, one would think they would not be living on their own. Thomas, the oldest child, did not marry until 1872. So I have a whole family who's come up missing! Thanks in advance, Roxanne Baird __________________________________ Yahoo! Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http://mail.yahoo.com
This could be your Mary, living 3 doors from Henry and Catherine (HH# 33/32)... 1870 Tennessee, Roane Co., Dist. 17, HH# 30/29 Roll: M593_1555; Page: 522 Gorin, John, 27, m, w, farmer, per. prop. val. $100, KY ----- Melly S., 26, f, w, keeping house, TN ----- John W., 2, m, w, TN Hensley, Mary, 16, f, w, domestic servant, TN No luck on the other children. There are 3 children of the approx. ages to be Thomas, Amy and Nelson also in Dist. 17 of Roane Co., but names don't match...surname "Patty". One child is (looks like) Amy L. or S. age 14 . Also John Patty age 16, and (looks like) Gus age 12. These children are living with Stephen and Caroline Stone. ----- Original Message ----- On Wed., Sept. 28, 2005 10:58 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > Could someone please check for the following children: > Thomas HENSLEY b: c 1853 > Mary HENSLEY b: c 1854 > Amy HENSLEY b: c 1856 > Nelson HENSLEY b: c 1859 > They are all listed with their parents, John and > Catherine HENSLEY, in 1860 in Roane county, TN.
