Are you sure you have the right father for Eliza Jane Springer? The John Springer in Lawrence co, Tn is shown as born in 1795 both in the 1850 and 1860 census records. He was not married on either record. He would have been 71 years old when Eliza Jane was born. Not impossible but improbable. Perhaps you have some more info like who Eliza married and where. Eliza Jane Springer married James Harvey Waters 16 June 1878 in Lawrence County. I have her death certificate and it looks like the father says John born in Tennessee; mother, Molly Smith born in Tennessee. The only other name I could get from it might be Joshua. Can you find any other possible fathers for her in the 15th district of Lawrence County? Thanks for checking.
