I don't see a Lucius Spears. The best bet for your John's father is Elisha(Lish) Spears. He first married Julia A. Kilbern 9/20/1895 in Lawrence Co, TN. The had a son John born about 1896-1897. His second wife was Anna Belle Carter and they had a bunch of kids. It appears that John first married an Ellen and they had three children listed in the 1920 census. I can't find Ellen or the children in 1930. What appears to be this same John is married to May in 1930. I can't see anything that proves conclusively that this is the same John who married Ellen. The 1930 does indicate that he was married once before he married May. What is your source for the name Lucius?
