Hello, I am searching for Minnie Nevada VANZANDT (Vanzant, Van Zandt, variously) who married Arch BONE in MO and lived near Dallas County, MO. I need to know who her parents were and where they were from, first of all. Secondly, I need to know of any siblings. The KY connection would be through her mother, Emily Salena UPTHEGROVE married to George VANZANDT...becoming Emily Selena VANZANDT. (Her father was from Tennessee, evidently from census reports). I need to find out if Emily is her mother or an aunt or something else like that. Minnie Nevada VANZANDT was a sister to Eva Vanzandt and Dulcie Vanzandt , and probably the others, but I haven't been able to find her yet with them in any census or with parents that fit with known information. Minnie Nevada VANZANDT married a second time to a Mr. BURKE. They had no children of their own, but his sister Margaret lived with them and a girl named Lenny and a woman called Yorkie. My family can't remember his first name. He was a farmer and owned a boarding house in Dallas C., MO. I have a marriage date of 1910 for a marriage of a John William BURKE in MO, but I don't know if it fits as my mother doesn't think that either John or William was Mr. Burke's first name. She remembers that he had a son named Roy, but when I looked him up, the only one I could find had different parents. If I could find the census records for Mr. Burke and Minnie as his wife, Minnie Burke, maybe they might have the birthplaces of her mother and father and help make finding the right parents easier. George Vanzandt was born in Missouri around 1835 f rom what census records indicate. He was married to a woman named Emily Selena Upthegrove, again from census records and someone's posting on the Internet.The children my family knew personally were Eva and Dulcie but others (siblings or cousins or others) are listed in the 1930 fed. census records: Nora A., George H., Eva S., Dulcie, and Elsie. Another source I saw on GenCircles included an Elijah Logan Vanzandt. My research turned up that Elijah Logan may have had different parents but was living with George and Emily and their kids. It is not conclusive though. Also, I could not find the same parents for Norah as the others in one source but found the same sources in another source. The rest of the siblings all matched up with George Sr, Vanzandt and Emily Selena Upthegrove Vanzandt as parents. So, I have three possible sets of parents. I would favor George and Emily being the parents of my known Eva and Dulcie since they match up to all other research done. So, I need to find them along with Minnie to establish her parents or find a different set of parents from those of Eva and Dulcie who we knew personally and who - all sources seem to agree - had George and Emily as parents.
