--WebTV-Mail-17394-740 Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Thank you Bill, Yes, I know that Kate Smith is her maiden name... She is the daughter of my Uncle William N. and Aunt Mary E. (Newbill) Smith... I found that Kate Smith was married to Charlie Hall from her Father's obituary and that was when I started searching for Kate and Charlie Hall... Kate's Father died in 1944 and that was why I asked for 1930 census lookup to go forwards with my search....(?)... thank you so much for your help...Since there was a son Clarence who was 20 yrs. of age in 1930 that would mean they were married before 1910 so yes, please do look for them in 1910...Charles and Kate were not living with Kate's parents because I have the 1910 census you looked up sometime ago for Wm. N. and Mary E, Smith... Thank you again and in advance... God Bless and Sincerely, Mary --WebTV-Mail-17394-740 Content-Disposition: Inline Content-Type: Message/RFC822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Received: from smtpinvite-3301.bay.webtv.net (209.240.205.169) by storefull-3338.bay.webtv.net with WTV-SMTP; Mon, 18 Jul 2005 20:57:59 -0700 Received: from lists8.rootsweb.com (lists8.rootsweb.com [66.43.18.27]) by smtpinvite-3301.bay.webtv.net (WebTV_Postfix+sws) with ESMTP id F3A57E106; Mon, 18 Jul 2005 20:57:58 -0700 (PDT) Received: (from [email protected]) by lists8.rootsweb.com (8.12.10/8.12.8) id j6J3uMCg015142; Mon, 18 Jul 2005 21:56:22 -0600 Resent-Date: Mon, 18 Jul 2005 21:56:22 -0600 X-Original-Sender: [email protected] Mon Jul 18 21:56:22 2005 Message-ID: <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 18 Jul 2005 22:57:49 -0500 From: [email protected] X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.61 [en] (Win98; I) X-Accept-Language: en MIME-Version: 1.0 Old-To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [TN-CENSUS-LOOKUP] 1930 Knox Co./ Charles Hall References: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.38 Resent-Message-ID: <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Resent-From: [email protected] Reply-To: [email protected] X-Mailing-List: <[email protected]> archive/latest/13845 X-Loop: [email protected] Precedence: list Resent-Sender: [email protected] X-Brightmail: Message tested, results are inconclusive I'm assuming you meant 1920 and 1910. I don't see them in 1910. I know you said that you know nothing more about this family but I also suspect that you didn't pull them out of thin air either. Do you know Kate's maiden name? They could be living with another Hall in 1910 but there are 95 listings for Hall in Knox Co in 1910. BTW I'm not 100% sure about Clarence's name - it's scribbly in both 1930 and 1920. 1920 Knox Co, TN, Knoxville, 8th dist, 24th ward, page 201 (all birthplaces Tenn) Charles Hall 49 rubber-marble mill Katie (wife) 32 Clarence H.
