Jennifer, I checked my 1850 census index and found the John Campbell in Wilson Co and 3 in Davidson Co, TN. I found 2 of the 3 and list the details below. The one I didn't find was indexed as: Campbell, John E. Gainsboro Dist 12, Davidson Co, TN 1840. Maybe someone else has access to this and may help you. Shara, The John E. Campbell you give is in Jackson Co. - not Davidson. The John W. Campbell you give is age 30-40. Yes, Dorothy, I listed both the John Campbell's of Davidson because the original lookup request was for an age ca 28. "...He would have been about 28 in 1840..."
