--WebTV-Mail-26960-300 Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Thank you Bill, I don't know an exact date for Charles Hall?... When I asked a cousin about "Charlie" she only was guessing about his birth year as 1871 born in Tennessee?... That information was what I was going by as born about 1871 for Charles ?... I didn't know who Kate Smith Hall married until I recieved Wm.N.Smith's obituary (Kate's Father) ?...Bill, As always I appreciate your help in my search... They could possibly have been married before and some of the children being from the 1st marriages?... I don't have a marriage date for Charles and Kate Smith Hall so I don't know when they were married ?... Once again thank you so much... In 1880 there is a William Hall in Morgan co, wife Eliza, children Columbus, Mary A. Rhoda F., Pleasant D. and Charles B. This Charles was born about 1878. Your Charles shows a birthyear of 1871 in the 1920 census but shows 1881 in the 1930 census. My question would be how sure are you of Charles birthdate? In 1900, William Hall and Eliza and some of the kids including Charles have moved to Roane Co. Columbus remains in Morgan Co and Pleasant has married and moved to Knox Co. In 1910, Pleasant is living just a few households away from Kate's parents. And in 1910, Charles is in Roane Co and is married to a Nettie with children Roxey 5, Eliza 4, Ted C. 2 and Raymon 8 mos. What are the chances that both Charles and Kate were previously married? The 1920 and 1930 records for them do not indicate whether their's is a first or second marriage. If Ted C. or Raymon had a middle name of Clarence then I'd be more certain. And do you have any way of finding out what Charles's middle name was? Do any of these names "ring a bell"?
