Need a lookup please in the 1870 Blount Co census for Nancy J. Pate age 23 b.TN with children William age 3, b.TN, Nancy L. age, 2 b. TN, and James L. age 1, b.TN. I don't know if Nancy was a widow in 1870 or her husband was still living. Thanks in advance for any help. Shirley

I think Nancy's maiden name was Pate so you probably need to look for her under another name. I found what appears to be her in Sevier county in 1850 and 1860 living with her parents. There were three Nancy Pates in Sevier in that time period. I found the marriages for two of them but neither appears to be yours. There is no record that I can find(including the book Early East Tennessee Marriages) for Nancy's marriage(s) including the one to George Henderson. I can find no family in 1870 in Blount, Sevier or Monroe county which contains Nancy and the listed children.
