I don't know if this is the Abner Jr. that you are looking for but he is a fascinating guy. Two marriages and divorces in Florida. Then must have married Betty Jo Hornsby at some point-don't know where. Divorces Betty Jo on 5/22/1968 in San Patricio Co, TX Remarried Betty Jo on 8/3/1968 in San Patricio Co, TX Must have divorced her again - can't find record. Remarried Betty Jo on 12/16/1970 in Nueces Co, TX(Corpus Christi) Must have divorced her again. I really don't know if Abner Jr. ever lived in Tennessee. I guess it's possible as his father apparently was a railroad man according to the SSDI. Jr. may have also been with the railroad and could have lived about anywhere at different times. There are conflicting dates for his death. One source says 1960 in Corpus Christi Texas. The other source says 1973 in Engleside TX. There is no Engleside Texas but there is an Ingleside Texas which is a suburb of Corpus Christi. I don't see his death recorded on the SSDI but the SSDI data is both incomplete and mostly non-existent prior to the mid 1970's. Mary, This is not a Tennessee family but it's the only family I can find that meets your description. They are in Washington Co, GA. In fact I think most of them were born, raised and died in Washington Co, GA. I can't find any census records for this family in 1900 or 1910. There is an Abner Lee Jordan b. abt. 1900 son of Augustus and Jennie Edwards Jordan. Augustus and Jennie had at least 10 children. Abner Lee married Eunice Pierce and they had a son Abner Lee Jordan Jr. b. abt 1925. Abner Jr. went to Florida as a young man and married and divorced at least twice. He married Carmen Christine South and divorced her in 1956. He then married Mary D. (last name unknown) and divorced her in 1963. He apparently died in Texas. This may have been a wild goose chase because your header says Albert Lee Jordan but your query says Abner Lee Jordan....... Any of this ring a bell with you or any of your cousins? Kimberly, I just read the bottom part past the children's names (yes these are all my uncle and aunts). I'm very curious about John R. King and his wife. We always thought her name was something similiar but definitely not what you've shown. Would you have any more info on them? I know Uncle Ozzie was in the military but haven't found anything on him yet. I'm not sure if Uncle Avery was or not but that side seems to be a military family.
