    3. Hi Dorothy, Thank you for your respose to my request . I'm only making a guess about when Wm. Keith / Keath was born ? Wm. must have been born about 1899 - early 1900's he did have a son Myrtie born about the 1916 to the early 1920's that served in WW II and the Koran Conflict. Myrtie just passed away in 2003 he was between 80 to 87 yrs. of age according to members of the Family. Thank you in advance. Sincerely yours Molly

    3. Seeking census information for George W. Thornton for the years 1860, 1870 and 1880. He supposedly was lived in Camden, Tn prior to Civil War. He was held as a prisoner during the Civil war in Union City, Obion Co., Tn. He later after the war moved to that area to live.

All censuses taken after 1930 are still confidential and the information they contain is not open to the public. The census from 1790 through 1840 only named the head of the household and the numbers of people in categories - 3 males over 16, 2 males under 16, etc. The census from 1850 through 1930 lists each member of the household and usually gives the relationship to the head of the house. It also gives age (later years give birth month and year) and place of birth (usually just the state or foreign country).
