    1. Re: [TN-CENSUS-LOOKUP] 1920 Knox /unknown Co./Clyde Edward Carter
    2. Mary, The 1920 census index is by head of household only so I have to go to 1930 to see if I can find his parents. There is a Clyde Carter in Knox Co in 1930. He's shown as age 13. I'm not sure if that's really his age or not as his parents do not have a child in 1920. I'm thinking that this Clyde may be adopted. But if he's not, the odds are pretty good that his middle name could be Edward. 1. Re: Re: [TN-CENSUS-LOOKUP] 1930/Hamilton/MATHEWS
    2. It could be that he wasn't born in Tennessee. Also he may not have been married by 1930. I assume that the Tennessee Parthina you asked about was his wife. Do you know her maiden name? If not, then the cheapest way to find him would be to get his death certificate. I don't know what they're currently charging but it should be less than $10. It should show where he was born and who his parents were. If you know which funeral home buried him they might give you that info free. > > From: Roxanne <[email protected]> > Date: 2005/07/05 Tue AM 12:00:21 CDT > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [TN-CENSUS-LOOKUP] 1930/Hamilton/MATHEWS > > Thanks for trying, Bill. 3. Thanks for trying, Bill. According to the SSDI, Tom Mathews was born in 1909, and the death benefit location was Hamilton County, TN. I don't think she knows of any family left alive who can give us any further information. Roxanne --- [email protected] wrote: > Might want to recheck your info on this one.
