    3. I am looking for a David Adkins/Atkins in 1870. He appears in Carter Co., TN in 1860 (at age 8) with his parents John and Mary Adkins. They were from NC prior to that. David may still be with them in 1870 or possibly married by then. I am also not certain that he would still be in Carter Co. I cannot find David at all in 1880. One of his sons shows up as an adult in Scott Co. and later in Campbell Co. My information about David Adkins/Atkins is unfortunately very sketchy. They would be in their late thirties or early forties. Children included should be Nellie, Nannie, Flora, Lawson, Partilla/Tillie and possibly a very young child named Wyatt. This family appears in Whitley Co., KY in 1900 and some reappear in 1920 but I can't find them in 1910. So, I am not certain but I'm thinking Campbell Co., TN might be a good possibility. William and Lucretia were in Scott and Fentress Counties when they were much younger so those might be possibilities as well.     2. Thank you so very much for all your trouble in helping me find my great grandmother in Tennessee. You definitely found her family after she married Edward. The only thing I have about her early days is a copy of a letter written to her father Jones M Watson in Knoxville when she was 16 (it's not dated) about her going to a ball with a young man in a buggy that the writer said was a safe buggy. I have heard that "James" could be interchanged with Jones . Jones was his first name as one of his grandchildren was also given the second name of Jones after him. Thanks again for all your help.
