I am looking for Joel Conrad ANDERSON in the 1850 census. I am not sure what county he was living in at the time. I do know that in 1857 he was living in Benton county. He was born abt 1827 in TN. His father was born in SC and his mother was born in NC. I am not sure if he was married or not at this time. His wife was Mary Ann DUNCAN born abt 1830 in NC. Thank you very much for your help. Danica
Bill, I did send in a request for information on James Brimer back on Aug. 6th but never received any replies. I had, however, been having problems with my pc, so I resent a request for help today and received lots of wonderful help from you, Georgi, & Linda. Thanks so much to all of you. I know I wasn't able to provide you with much to go on. I appreciate very much all of your efforts and the information that you were able to provide me. Thanks again, ...Marjorie ================================== In a message dated 08/15/2006 12:08:22 PM Eastern Daylight Time, wmcconne@bellsouth.net writes: Marjorie, I believe that I previously had given you info that the James Brimer who was in Hamilton Co, Tn in 1830 appears to be the person who acquired land in Gwinnett Co, GA in the 1832 Georgia Land Lottery. Marjorie.....didn't mean to confuse you, but the 26 Brimer names that I found were NOT on any census page. There are several ways of looking for someone without going straight to a certain census page. Sometimes it pays to find out what you need to know, if possible, in different places, when you are limited with the information. Hi Becky ............ Thanks so much for your help. It has taken me a couple of days just to update my data base. What a thrill. I am not able to place the family in the 1860 census #1740/1747. Their names are similar but the dates of birth don't fit. Thanks again for all your time and effort. I'm sorry Marjorie, but for myself I will need to know more. There are 26 James Brimers (in one place) all born in TN. All in the 1800's. Which, if he's included, is the one you want? Same thing goes for the 1850 Census. By just puting in his name only for 1850 the return was "no match".....meaning there was nothing to help find him. There are no names for his parents??
