    3. In addition to all the offline programs, I want to add the online ones: Ancestry, FamilySearch, Mocavo, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, Geni.com, and so on. One of my motivations is to find a program that makes it easy to exchange data with the cloud-based services, and they have their idiosyncrasies too: Ancestry doesn't recognize my carefully sourced Ancestry sources; I recently learned that some services recognize only Christening as an alternative birth event (Baptism is taken to be LDS baptism--thank you TMG Utility for a quick fix to that!), and so on.
