    1. [TMG] Changing Name Tags
    2. Brian Gross
    3. Hi, I'm unable to modify Name-Marr, Name-Nick etc. tags. It's clear I modified these in the past, because I created some of the tags. I looked at File > Preferences > Data Entry and see that Data Entry Mode is Advanced and Place Labels and Name Labels are Enabled. It's clear I modified these in the past, because I created some of the tags. What can I look at next? Brian

What are you wanting to modify? Name-**** Tags are just like other Tags and can be modified/edited like any other. Keep in mind that the Standard Tags can't be deleted and certain modifications to standard Tags should not be done and/or are not allowed. In such cases, just create a new Custom Tag of that Tag Type with a different Tag Label. Lee

    3. I'm trying to change the Sentence associated with the Name-Marr tag. When I look at the Master Tag Type List, the Name-Marr tag shows a Sentence. When I try to edit the tag, the sentence does not appear under the Roles and Sentences tab. When I enter new sentences under the Roles and Sentences tab, the Male Sentence Structure appears in the Tag Type List but both disappear from the Roles and Sentences tab. Despite the sentences disappearing, TMG remembers them and uses the appropriate (male of female) sentence in reports. Does that description make any sense? Is this something that's been seen before? This is the first Tag I've encountered where I can't see the sentences to edit them. 3. Brian, I have heard similar reports before. When I investigated, there were errors in the sentence definition of the Tag Type, errors that could not be fixed via the TMG user interface. Please contact me off-list if you'd like me to investigate. Use my jfcardinal email address on GMail.com. John
