I go through all the procedures and have never had a problem before. At the end I get this message with no backup: "Input file read failure-This error occurs when a file read operation is performed on a ZIP file that is locked or restricted by another person." I have no idea what this could be. Any help appreciated. Jean
Jean, Are you trying to make a backup of a project that is on your "main" disk, or is the TMG project on some other disk, possibly a USB stick? Are you trying to save the backup file to a location that is (A) on your main disk and (B) in a folder that is NOT monitored by Dropbox or any other network-based file backup or file sharing facility? John
On the hard drive. I usually do that then transfer it to another backup storage. Okay, that did it. Your questions made me go back through and double check the location to which it was being sent. The check box for it to do it automatically was check and unchecked it and put it where I wanted it to be on the hard drive. It always worked but for some reason the automatic button wasn't doing it. Thanks! Jean On Mon, Jan 28, 2019 at 1:12 PM Jean Suddarth <vjsuddarth@gmail.com> wrote: > On the hard drive. Okay. Here's what's happening. When it generates the archive name automatically, it sets it up as verison 8 and now I'm using 9.05 and version 8 has never been on this computer. So how do I get it to change so I don't have to save it to 9 backups manually? It won't work changing the 8 to a 9.
