What actions to take depend upon what all you do or do not wish to keep. I suggest you scroll down in that chapter to the heading "Project Files with Customizations" and compare the two sets of actions and their results under the subheadings "Retain Sources and Repositories" and "No Sources or Repositories, but retain the Source Types". That chapter also begins by discussing separately exporting source types and tag types and importing them into a new project created with the basic defaults.
