    3. I just did a simple filter for the Project Explorer--"Is a Descendant" of ID# 14999, a relative born in 1850 who had grandchildren by at least four of her children, and was startled to get only 22 results. I might have believed this, but a fellow researcher should have been on the list, and wasn't, and I soon ascertained that two of her siblings were while she and two others were not. The two who did show, had no birth dates and showed up twice each on the list, while the three who didn't show did have birth dates. Also, no one else on the list was alive or lacking a birthdate. Any ideas what's going on here? I'm not seeing any pattern I can understand. Karla Huebner calypsospots AT gmail.com

    3. Use the File > Maintenance > Optimize command and see if that helps.

    3. Just letting people know that the normal Maintenance routine solved my problem. I'm unsure why I didn't try that first--many thanks to the list for nudging me in the obvious direction!
