Thanks Michael and Katherine, I know you can't merge people from different datasets. I don't know where my mind was. Katherine, thanks for reminding me that you can deactivate a dataset. I had forgotten about that. When finished merging the datasets you should either delete dataset 4 or deactivate it by checking the deactivate box on the merging window before you close it. When you delete or deactivate a dataset after the merge then it will not show up in the index nor be considered when checking for duplicate people. Hope that made sense. Katherine AZ
