Gayle Keaney wondered about dates on files: > when I overwrite a gedcom the "date modified' on > the gedcom does not change to the date of the latest version. You do not indicate, Gayle, but I am "assuming" that this "date modified" is what is shown by Windows for that gedcom file? That date would be when the export was run to create that file and would have little to do with a "version" of either the project or the program. First, have you refreshed your Windows file list following overwriting the file? Second, double check that the folder listed on Step 2 of the TMG Export Wizard is pointing to the same Windows folder where you are checking the date. It may be that you are storing your new gedcom in a different folder than where you think. > Also while the date on the 'Report Ouput' folder changes to the > current date, the date on the Word file does not change... and the > dates of the gedcom file & the word file are not the same. Again, it is not clear what dates you are looking at. Also it is unclear what relationship a Word file has to a gedcom file. The first is created by running a report and the second by doing an export. They would each show the dates of those actions, which may have no relationship to each other. Similar to the gedcom export, double check that the output folder for the report to a Word document in the Report Definition Screen when you run the report is the one where you are checking the date. Hope this gives you ideas, Michael
