Thanks Terry, and thank you Joan for your response I'll have a look at your website and also some of the discussion here about various macros. At the moment I'm focussing quite often on the elderly members of the family and most don't even have a computer so am using journal reports a lot. I don't find I am sending many Journals out lately, so haven't sent any that include a Fake Child. I added them to prepare text for a book I'm trying to get together, and for that I have lots of editing, so removing these manually is easy enough. But adding this to a macro shouldn't be hard to do. The hard part I think would be to figure out how to get the several lines removed at once. Terry
