John, The next thing to check is the Place Style. You said you have File>preferences>options>current project>places>default country set to UK, but that doesn't tell me what place style is assigned to your places. When you edit the tag we've been discussing, you should see a [Place Style] button. To the right of that button, you'll see the name of the current Place Style. What is the name of the Place Style? John, I finally get what you are asking for; Place Style is UK Standard Place. Hoping to spped things, I changed a few place styles to US Standard Place for one person only, then made the site again. If the <L> is at the end of the structure - no change. If the <L> is in the middle somewhere - no double comma BUT anything in 'STATE' is not printed. Perhaps moving entries to use only DETAIL - CITY - COUNTY - COUNTRY might solve that problem, if not the end position in the sentence. I'll await your next suggestion.
